Firstly thanks for all your help when I posted last, much appreciated feedback.

If you hadn't guessed I am relatively new to this forum and I am still finding my feet when it comes to TVR ownership and loving every minute:driving:.

I bought a Tuscan S about 3 months ago from the factory it is an 03 car but has only ever been owned by TVR. I have been told it was one of the original show cars at the NEC and has and very unusual spec. Eg extra dashboard vents and every other concieveable extra. I thought it would be nice if I could find out a little bit more about the vehicle and hopefully some show photos.

Can anyone help me trace this car? the number plate was S6 TVR and the colour is green, sorry black, sorry purple, hopefully you know the colour I mean.

Then it's appeared in plenty of magazine articles and, I wouldn't mind betting, it'll be found somewhere on Sleepy-fish's archives....

S6 TVR is just the same as TVR100 was.

TVR100 was on all the press cars and then it was used alongside S6 when the Speed 6 engines came into force.

Are you looking for the history of the plate or your car..? if it’s the car you will need to post pics as that plate has
been on so many cars its difficult to distinguish your black tusc from the other black tuscs its been registered to.

S6TVR tuscanS was a factory car when I was choosing mine, liked the reflex charcoal. It was also the courtesy car I had from TVR power when mine went in for it's first service.

I am sure it was the car autocar did 0-60 in 3.69 and 0-100 in 8.08

When I had it it was certainly a lot faster than the "standard" mk 1 I had for a couple months. Don't know how it compares to my S as I was still pottering round running mine in. TVR have been suggested to breath on the press cars.

think also one mr mole ski's friends wrecked it at one point recently

VBH also been in it on TG or 5thG if that rocks your boat, she may have had her hand on you gear knob...

Yeah you are right it does have gas discharge dip as well. I was aware the car had been used in the press but I was assured it had not been crashed and was a straight vehicle by TVR. If you know any more on this I would interested in finding out.

I had driven a few Tuscans before this one and it does seem faster and also seems to drive slightly diffferently. Prior to my purchase TVR replaced the engine and all parts on the vehicle that were even slightly worn including interior bits - I was very impressed when I picked up the car. I am glad to say the new Engine they fitted still seems to have that edge , following what seemed to be never ending period of very careful driving and running in.

What year did they say it was? Does it have air-con fitted?

The one with that plate that did the Autocar article against the GT2 Porsche in 2001 did not have air-con and was very fast, think it was black, not reflex charcol...

cheers

Sorry, just re-read the thread and yours in an 03, so ignore this post!

I do apologise Claire, If you could help it would be appreciated. I am trying to findout about the Vehicle not the plate. The vehicle is Reflex Charcoal in colour and I know this is criminal but I do not have any photos of it. I would take one and post it but the car is currently at the doctors.

If you bought it from TVR and it was one of their cars why don't you ask them?

I have, they say it was was used for press and the motor show. I don't believe they keep records and I do not think it is a major priority of theirs to give me the information/photos.

I can understand that... I seem to remember seeing a black Tuscan at least once on the sleepy-fish site. Its really excellent and has pretty much every magasine article about the Tuscan. I seen to remember they drove a black Tuscan to Paris... hope that might be a good place to start!

Good Luck!

If you provide Claire with the chassis number - that may provide the DNA (..subject to records being kept!)
