New mini purchase.
Discussion
The wife just got her third mini which she leases every time and there’s never been any issues until now.
The payments had gone up over £130 which was way to much .The sales man asked would she put £2000 down to drop the payments. After thinking it over the answer was no .Few weeks later the calls started and they can get the repayment below 300.Went down payed 250 deposit paper work signed and no other money mentioned.Four months later car ready to be picked up.Car picked up final paper worked handed over and again no mention of any more payments.A week later the sales man called her to say you’ve forgot to pay the £2000 contribution. I looked through the paperwork and yes right at the bottom was the £2000 contribution figure She had missed it.This is now being bounced around various managers as to why they let the car go with the money outstanding .If we have to pay it we will.Ombudsman contacted and waiting on another Manager to call back…..
Thoughts anyone.

Had something a little similar with BMW. My local dealer (who I have bought 250K+ of cars from over the years) asked for a 1500 "deposit" over the phone after I had been in to sort out a new car. The salesman was new and forgot it, apparently. Final straw after they started messing about.
Another BMW dealer was more than happy to honour the deal with no deposit on the same car.
