May find myself in between cars at the end of the month.

Potentially looking for something that will last at least a year and retain some resale value. Minimal costs in terms of tax, MPG and maintenance are essential.

We have an SUV as the daily, so just needs to be something with no dramas that the dog can be slung in the back of. Bonus points for being a safe car as occasionally my little one will have to be transported in it.

5 doors would be easiest and as i'll be the primary driver nothing to 'girly' or like the designer didn't bother trying when drawing up the car.

£2000-£2500 max budget.

Going to have to be a face-lift 107/aygo/C1

No tax
50-60mpg
Great reliability
Fair resale value as everyone wants a cheap to run, cheap to tax car at present.
