Our TV signal for the last few weeks if not months seems to be pretty poor with some of the channels pixilating and freezing or having "No Signal". Even the main channels are doing it today.

Is it just our area (East Yorkshire) or is it widespread?

Digital TV was supposed to be better but it has been very poor. Anyone else?

I experienced similar a few years ago. Firmed out to be a decaying coax cable from the aerial.

How old is your aerial? you might have water in the connection box ot the downlead might be damaged.

Most TV,s have a signal checker on them. Have a look and see what it says. My money is the same as the others above, a poor contract of some sort. Easy to fix, if you can reach everything!

With a decent aerial, freeview has been rock solid since it started.
Your symptoms point to a problem with your aerial or cabling.

Could be mobile service upgrades in your area causing interference?

Went through a spell 6yrs ago or so where our signal was very patchy.

Check the aerial and all connections down to the TV. But could also be the people who run the mast doing works.

Coincidentally, that happened to me last week. I was suspicious of Freeview itself, the signal quality, turned out to be what 'looked' like a pristine coax cable. rolleyes



A basic new white one, picture now perfect, even on a very old aerial.
