Hope you can help me:-
Recently whilst out with the camera, I found this pocket knife, which had obviously been lost there for awhile, after a good clean I'm really pleased to have it. It's obviously not a cheap item, it has a bone handle and has considerable weight.

After a quick search online all I can find about the French company who made it 'Laguiole Bougna' - they currently make mostly Kitchen Steak Knives though couldn't find anything about this model [1421] Nothing either on ebay, anyone any Ideas about it? If I had to guess I'd say it was quite old [at least 50+years], it exhudes quality, I've never seen any pocket knives of this quality in UK.
The place where I found it, it was probably lost by an angler or hunter.
Anyone?

Just in case you're not aware in the unlikely event you're stopped and searched that could get you some bother from BiB as it's over 3" and has a lock.

The 421 more likely refers to the type of stainless steel and the "l" in front indicates a low-carbon verson.

If genuine, then looks like a classic, seems a well-known model. Enthusiast here:

Guy's many thanks for the info' - I'm no expert but I'd say it's a genuine Laguiole 'Hunter' model, though couldn't find one exactly like the one I found.
The Canadian you tube vid was greatsmile - though the prices he quoted were surprisingly low. I don't think a quality knife like this could be Hand made for so little $'s
Whatever It's just a nice unusual item to ownthumbup
thanks for your helpsmile

As close as I can find on the website.
It looks like a stag horn handle. Natural colour variation + staining will give yours the darker colour and your chrome bits appear tarnished.
