Sold my 991 GT3 RS a month ago guys and seriously regretting selling it! On the look out for a new toy and can't deicide on another gt3rs or go for a 992 GT3. Anyone gone to the 992? Any comments appreciated!

I've owned neither but for me seems the 992 is a step up with its new front suspension, so 992 for me

Yes that's my thought, also like the new interior. However, kept the 991 for 2.5 years, load of miles and lost 5k. Conscious of the depreciation that could be on a 992 .... or not?!

Each new generation of the GT3/RS is easier to drive, softer, in a way. All are great cars.

The newer the model, the more you’ll 'probably' lose in depreciation, but the longer you keep it, the less that matters.

So choose based on how you want it to feel! biggrin

Was it a .1 or .2 RS , considering one as my next Porsche

Thanks, what mileage did you cover and what period of time did you own?

I think that 991.2 GT3RS will become the sweet spot in a couple of years. I had a 991.1.GT3 RS which I sold in return for a 992 GT3 Touring. The 992 GT cars are more track biased than the 991 GT versions so rather than go 992 GT3 I would go 991.2 GT3 RS. That in my opinion will be the best compromise between a “daily” and a track car.

Although when you look at Kevin Estre's Nurburgring time in the 991.2 GT3RS you would be forgiven for not thinking that the 992 GT3 is the better car ... I believe it is noisier and less compliant with its double wishbone front suspension.

As for 992 GT3RS ... still overs despite there being so many ultra low mileage cars on sale (some "owners" now on their second dealer allocation) ... and so little room for crash helmets etc ... two is definitely a crowd!

I have only ever sold one RS , a a 997.2 which I deeply try regret but I have my 991.1 and 992 versions.

The lack of trunk in the 992 combined with fixed LWBs means it is pretty much track only whereas the 991 is more usable for say a weekend away for two. It is an amazing thing on track but as a road car the 991 wins for me.

I done 7.5 k and 2 years with the .1 RS. Me and her want to do a few alpine tours, I want to do the odd track day and also take my boy out on the weekend.... I like the new interior of the 992 and that appeals to me on long road trips, the RS is out of my price range so would be the GT3. However the head tells me .2 will be a safer bet!

Well.. I bit the bullet and purchased the 992 GT3 2022 with 1600 miles. Drove it from Yorkshire back to west Wales and wow what a car, the sellers regret has definitely disappeared smile

I have been thinking about selling my 997.2 RS to either pay down my mortgage or buy a 675LT ... I just know I will regret it if I really do it ... I am the perfect example of lasting seller's regret - I still miss the few cars I sold (Z3 M Coupe, 355, Scuderia) and want them back. The only one I can live without is the 430 Challenge - was just too much hassle to store it and use it / driving it was awesome though.
