You have it bad!
Do you get the shakes if you’re not trawling the classifieds?
I actually stumbled across this by accident. Do you get the shakes if you’re not trawling the classifieds?
Responded to an add selling a small Ducati item I was looking for. Popped along to collect the piece and got chatting. Turns out the guy had it sitting in an underground parking space in central Ottawa. Not ridden due to health issues and the fact you need to ride for 2 hours in any direction to find a road barely decent enough for the bike. I jokingly said "if you're selling, give me first refusal. 10 mins later, deal done.
I think I'm shyte at negotiating

Well done Steve, we need a shot of the whole collection together now
What's the plan for this one?
So I think the black S may need to be moved on to make room for this one. Sad as it's a beautiful bike and I actually think the 1098 is the nicer road engine than the 1198. The bigger engine is just an absolute handful, wheelies everywhere, mind boggling grunt in the lower and midrange that is just brutal.

But more is obviously more and Ducati's production numbers indicates they only made 300 as a run out before the 1199 Panigale appeared. And I'm not a fan. So other than the 1098R, this is the last and bestest pre Panigale ever. Even used parts from the R like the ali tank, TTX shock and decent wheels.
So I'll have 2 x 1098/1198 variants, one track and one road, the 998 track bike that I'll be refurbishing at making carbon and yellow and Daisy, the bike I'll be buried with

Very cool collection indeed then, interesting to hear the differences. But more is obviously more and Ducati's production numbers indicates they only made 300 as a run out before the 1199 Panigale appeared. Very nice Steve.
Will it help if I announce my admiration on your FB page?
(only joking)
Sure, and swiftly followed by my sudden and unexpected departure from this mortal coil Will it help if I announce my admiration on your FB page?

I need to play a bit of a shell game me thinks, keep them moving, covered up and like a zebra, it'll get lost in the herd

Deny, deflect and distract.... this year's sure fire winning strategy.
Or, I'm fecked. Yes. Probably that.
Correction, it's not an SP rather the 1198 Corse SE.
Apparently they ran out the 1198's with the SE which has a QS, slipper clutch, 70mm termi slash cut system, bigger ali tank, Ohlins TTX rear shock and a few little more bits to celebrate winning the WSBK and WSS titles allegedly.
Going to collect in a few weeks and begin stripping down for a deep clean and add a few of the farkles I have lying around.
Apparently the SP came in black or red and is a similar spec. But I always loved this paint scheme so it's a forever bike I think.
Debating whether I should get the oem lower panels/belly pan as they might not be available forever and although it's got a lovely CF belly pan fitted it's not correct.

This is pretty spooky, from what I understand these are pretty rare in the UK. In one weekend, we had these two traded in.
We have all the latest V4 and V2 offerings in the showroom, but these get more attention.

Out of interest, what's their respective mileages and what approximate amount do you think they'll be on sale for?
