Been catching up on this series.
The Columbus one was interesting, rather dispelling the myths about the bloke.

Saw the first one- nice enough, but not essential- very typical James TV.

Returned to the format they used on the BBC with the cars of the past etc. Obviously the BBC dont do stuff like this anymore. It has to be a current talent of flamboyant pedigree or they dont want to know.
Mind you his boring man show was st so glad he has done this.

James seems to playing up far more for the camera, than is usual. While not groundbreaking, pleasant enough to warrant giving it a viewing.

Enjoyed the bits I've seen so far.

James sounding a bit gravelly in the voice? Hopefully just a sore throat.

I've thought that he seems to have developed a slight head twitch, too.

Enjoyed the couple I've seen so far, I also enjoyed his dull men's club ones, and I like Clarkson now and i was someone who disliked them on Top Gear.
For me on Top Gear it was the fans i disliked the ones who got angry if you dared question something and they believed it was all real and not staged...and thus i disliked them as people.... Bit like Jesus, i hate his fans but the guy himself seems like he was pretty cool...

Anyway, if what he's doing reaches a wider audience then great, sooner people realise that although history is harsh in so many ways to look back on, a lot of it was 'if we weren't doing it, someone else would of been'.

Also that nicking people and stuff from other countries is why we are so diverse today, which is so lauded as a good thing (its is but it came from bad, colonialism and slavery) Serbia for example wasn't part of the African Slave trade so isn't diverse like the UK or US.... Which is better?

Such a shame he's been relegated to C5.

I caught ten minutes tonight (between a couple of C5's frequent and lengthy ad breaks). Quite interesting, but I wouldn't spend an hour and a half watching an hour's worth of content.

Quite funny that they carried a warning for offensive language in the last part of the program.

He said crap, twice.

Are we really that pathetic as a nation that we need warnings for that?

Somehow I don't think that warning is for you

But it was broadcast at 10 pm. Giving such a warning was bizarre.

He did say "bellend" in the second episode, which, as my favourite insult, made me laugh.

And calling the crew bds for making him pedal up hill.

Disappointed to note that in episode 3 May didn’t spot he was flying the Union Flag upside down.
