My youngest daughter told me all the movies I like are too violent and she may have a point.
I had a good think and with the exception of the kids movies I couldn't think of a single movie I really like with no violence / no one dies.

This can't be right. Tell me some good movies where no one dies.

I think you have to get down to #21 on the IMDb top 250 to qualify with It's a Wonderful Life

Dodgeball - Patches dies when a casino sign falls on his head a plot point of the movie.
Kingpin - Roys father dies albeit off screen it is part of the story and getting a hand cut off if quite violent.
Smokey and the Bandit - Fair enough
Canonball Run - Fair enough
Bachelor Party (ok a donkey dies)
Oceans 11 / 12 / 13 - Good one. Although you could argue Don Cheadle murders a british accent.
Uncle Buck - Its been a while, but doesn't Buck have to come and stay because the sister in laws dad died of a heart attack?

You might want to rewatch Falling down. Especially the ending.

Good call on Dodgeball. Kingpin I think as we never see it…

Uncle Buck no the dad recovers.

Just steer clear of Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope. The kill count is in the billions, thanks to Tarkin. Not to mention the 1,549,232 kills Luke racks up by blowing up the Death Star.

For kids I'd say the Goonies? Pretty sure nobody dies in that unless I'm mis-remembering.

We saw the new Bob Dylan movie recently, A Complete Unknown, and thought it was brilliant......don't think anyone dies in that.

What about:
The Trueman Show
A Beautiful Mind
The Martian
All The Presidents Men
The Big Short
