Way back in 1978, I was sat on a barstool in a pub near Kidderminster when the late great Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham came and sat right next to me and ordered a pint....:yikes:

Well, as a massive Zep fan, I nearly choked on my drink, so after a while I plucked up the courage and said " The beer's on form tonight John".....to which he replied "Yes", drunk up in one gulp and left......

:hehe:

Uhhmm, Bernie Winters and Snorbitz, Lennie Henry, Jeremy Beadle, Christopher Beaney, Chief Inspector Brownlow off "The Bill".

And ......I was so lucky .....Malandra Burrows whom I was totally smitten with before meeting her but the experience was fantastic and she kissed me and I didn't wash that part for ages!

She's so gorgeous....

Here she is

Oh yes, where I met her was a car show; it doesn't get any better than that.

I was in love!

Very tongue tied indeed

Met Clarkson at the '98 Birmingham Motor Show. He was wandering around the Skoda stand with a smirk on his face. I stood next to him for a couple of minutes, thinking of something to say but couldn't, so I walked off, unfortunately.

Stupid thing was, I had a copy of Top Gear Magazine on me that I could've asked him to sign

Ahh yes, I forgot about JC.

I met him too at the London Motor Show and Quentin Wilson.

I did speak to them but this was, oooh about 1997 or 1998 and I can't remember what the hell I said.

My dad took me to the British GP when I was about 10. We were lucky enough to end up standing very near Ayrton Senna and Nigel Mansell. I was TOTALLY awestruck and could not say a word. Probably still would be tbh!

EDIT: standing near them in the pits that is, not in the grandstand!

I saw Barry Shhene at the Goodwood revival a couple of years ago. He was a great boyhood hero of mine, but I didn't have the balls to chat to him or even get an autograph.
A truly wasted opportunity and never to be repeated.

A G/f and I flew to LA & back, when she worked for Pan Am. For the princely sum of £12.00 we upgraded to 1st class.
On the return flight, the only people up front were the G/f, myself and JACK NICHOLSON. We boozed together for the whole flight, and we got rather shitfaced together.
I'm sure he tells all his Hollywood buddies about the time he met us.......

JACK NICHOLSON, I'm envious ...I'd love to meet him.
He's a great actor and strikes me as being a very intellectual and interesting extrovert. I bet he was really entertaining.

I don't usually have a problem talking to celebrities, but when I came face to face with Tiff Needel at V-Max, he was emerging from the bushes after taking a leak He made some joke and I was a bit lost for words. I said something along the lines of, "Err, yeah! It's all right for you blokes."

Prince Charles. He was so close I could have pants him (yank his trews down, stand back and laugh). It felt inappropriate to shake his hand, and introduce myself, with nothing to say other than the strange thoughts which crept into my mind like
"Hi, Im Rob............................. whats your name"

He's much shorter in the flesh (referring to his height)

To this day I'm sure I walked by Peter Wheeler at a Tuscan meet at Knockhill but didn't want to go up and say "it's you isn't it"..........didn't have anything for him to autograph anyway other than the GF (now wife)

Staying in a hotel in Hollywood, walked into a lift and Joan Collins was standing there. Just the two of us in the lift, so I done the usual thing when in a lift and stared at the indicator, too scared to even look at her.

Mate went to Arnham (sp?) with his grandad and noticed Prince Charles standing a couple of foot away. Went over and got him to pose next to his grandad for a photo. Shook hands and done the chit chat thing, the old boy was over the moon.

I once organised a charity walk in aid of testicular cancer as one of my hero footballers went down with it a few years ago,the walk just gathered pace and turned into a big event, before you knew it we had other walks going on and during my 60 mile walk i had many radio interviews(talksport, capital etc)....no sweat till the final day....as i entered the ground they put the cameras on me for an interview....Bang! it hit me total 'kin gridlock of the brain.,no worries though all me mates just hammered me on the back and said come on cliffy lets get in there.

Another time years ago i used to follow my team all over the country and me and my mate Del drove up to Burnley,we got there well early and Turf moor was deserted....George Graham was just strolling along outside the stand so i pulled up next to him and gave it OI OI George, he came over and stared into the car from my mates side i nearly died laughing as Dels draw dropped and he went into Mute mode we still pull his leg about it.
