Hi all,

I’m looking for some help locating the bsi unit on my 2003 Citroen Relay flatbed it’s the 2.8 HDI if that makes any difference and I believe after testing the battery and alternator that it’s responsible for causing the engine to cut out on occasion if you switch the headlights on or when you flash or switch to full beam.

Thanks in advance
Nathan

BSI units are generally under the engine fusebox. To be more accurate if you look at the engine bay fuses the unit they sit in is actually the BSI.
It's a sealed unit , generally the symptoms you describe are one of the main multi plugs that enter the unit, having water damage to the pins .

You can buy units on e bay but you have to have them coded to the vehicle or cloned to your old unit .

An example below albeit not specifically your unit part number

Thanks for the info I’ll have a look at the plugs first in case they just need a bit of a contact clean but will look into a new unit also.

Just a thought I had last night some BSI units are behind the cabin fuse box , NOT part of the engine fuse box.
My advice on the engine fuse box plugs still stands however it is possible your BSI is in the cabin fuse box behind the glove box.

I’ll look in both places and check all the plugs
