I did an oil change & general service check a few months ago but never did a service reset as there wasn't any indication on the dash.
Now there is an indication saying it's due so I followed the instructions, but it didn't reset the light/s.
What level of stupidity have I achieved now...?

PS I pressed that button for >10 seconds.

I'm no help I'm afraid, but I am probably as 'stupid' as you, so is my local indie garage who serviced it. We tried everything, but to no avail. we discovered the OBD port is behind the plastic in front of the passenger, which unclips (carefully), but even then we couldn't do it.

Please someone put us 2 out of our misery.

BTW, I asked the local dealer to reset it when it went in for a new fuel pump, but they didn't tell me what they had done.

I have used the reset for both oil and service lights using the column stalks, in the past with success
However, I found out last year that it's the time goes past you cannot reset it using the column stalks, bit need to use OBD
I tried a number of OBD apps and also a friend with a Snap On OBD and none could reset it
If anybody knows an OBD app or program that can reset without having to buy Renault please advise

I have the same issue. The 'stalk' procedure didn't work for me and neither did OBD Fusion or Car Scanner. I wouldn't mind, but it came on at least 3 months before it was due a service!

I'm both pleased & disappointed. Pleased I'm not totally stupid, but disappointed there appears to be no simple answer for such a simple thing.

I have a Foxwell NT710 scanner that I use to reset service lights for 3 other cars. I was not successful using it on the A110. I'll visit some independant mechanics till one of them can turn it off. Nearest Alpine service centre is 2hrs drive.

Thank you all for responding.

We need a working dowload for Reno Link if anyone has one pls PM. I have the cable but the supplied software disc doesn't work. I have the same issue with none of the service reset methods working. I have a pretty decent diagnostic machine and that doesn't work.

I visited a garage I have used for decades. The owner tried a SnapOn branded scan tool & one other that I can't remember the name. They operated almost identical to mine & hence were unable to reset the service indicator. One even displayed the instructions to navigate to the service reminder on the dash & press the button on the stalk for 10 seconds, haha.

Is https://www.obdexpress.co.uk/ a reputable place to buy RenoLink software? Do I also need a special cable? Any other suggestions on places to buy or download from before I roll the dice on some random internet store?

To answer my initial question, yes, I was doing it wrong.
After trying almost every permutation of button pushes, I have resolved the resetting of my service & oil change lights.
I guess that means I reached a new level of stupid after all. But then worked it out, so maybe redeemed myself?? Could I have Schrödinger's stupidity....? smile

In any case, I hope to help fellow confused DIY'ers, & also provide a reference to remind me how to do it again in 12 months.

With ignition on (engine off), navigate to this screen (NOT the one that says Service Required like I assumed first up). Use the up/down "half" buttons on the wiper stalk to get there.

The 5 blue squares tell me there are more screens to view, so press the single button on the indicator stalk until you get to the service info you want to reset. Oil change is the 3rd menu screen & Service is the 4th.

Now press one of the "half' buttons on the wiper stalk for maybe 10 seconds. I used the bottom of the 2 buttons, but according to the (ambiguous) manual either will work. Don't let go when the information first starts flashing or it will not reset. The picture above was taken after mine was set for another 20,000km & 12 months. Before that it said xxxkm & 0 months.

I hope I explained this properly, but if not just ask & I'll edit the info for clarity.

Interesting! I only noticed the 5 squares yesterday when stuck in a massive 1 hour traffic jam near Bordeaux, so for the first time ever I switched on the stop/start.

Every time the engine stopped, the 2 squares became 5 and I wondered why.

Well done on sorting and helping everyone else.

Brilliant!
Well done!

That finally worked for
As I posted earlier, a couple of years ago I had followed instructions and reset, but couldn't get it to work this time
As you say it appears to that the key is to go to the relevant (oil or service page) before holding the reset button
For me I held the reset until the mileage and time stopped flashing and had incremented back to the maximum

Thanks again

Well done, and thank you for posting here. I think you deserve a pint from everyone. It's so silly that they make it so difficult.
