Good to see a glimpse of the old Triumph in the flashback part of the trailer.

I was wondering what motorcar they might have him drive in the modern reboot, but it seems to be some dull Volvo.

The Triumph was c.30yrs old in the original, so I was thinking it would have been amusing to see him smoke around in a TVR Chimera etc.

Most importantly, will we see the return of The Ice Maiden, Philippa Vale?!

She gave me funny feelings I didn’t understand at the time when I was a young lad…

I hope Zoe Wanamaker nails it as Charlie Hungerford.

I'm not sure about this.

I love the OG Bergerac but it was always a bit glamorous, exotic (they're a bit French dontchaknow) and mostly sunny - all through a 1980's lense. This seems to have gone all Nordic-noir and a bit samey as all the other cop shows.

I'll likely give it a try, but if it's not cheesy (in a good way) then I'm not sure there will be enough to keep me interested.

They are still using the Triumph for certain scenes as I understand it.

Just over 30 years old. Funny how a 45 year old TR7 seems much more modern now than a Triumph 1800 did in 1981.

So if he has a Triumph, TR6 seems equally old fashioned, Stag more stylish but still doesn't seem quite old enough. Though I do find the 'detectives should use classic cars as daily drivers' idea a bit odd. 'He's in a job where he needs reliable transport and often needs to keep a low profile, what's the least suitable vehicle we can find?'

Liza Goddard would be a worthy addition to the "Guess Who Aged Well" thread smile

Enjoyed the original and will give the Reboot a go.

And the design was nearer 40, stale pre-war porridge gingered up with chrome.

Judie Comer would do it well.

Apparently John Nettles loathed the car, it was always breaking down and had to be pushed into scenes (see also: Morse's Jaguar).

I grew up watching the original Bergerac, so, I was not enthralled at the idea of this reboot.

However, the more clips I see, it's actually piqued my interest and now I'm actually looking forward to it.

I must admit the original series seemed to show far more crime for the Channel Islands than was reflected in their actual crime rates

But I'll give this a go for the sake of nostalgia at least!

I saw her at a farm shop on the Isle of Wight a few years ago, looked great. Random.

Shouldn't Bergerac now be driving an MGF?

My mum watched Bergerac when it was on years ago. I saw it a few times, but can remember very little about it.other than what the main characters looked like.
