Its just a shame the bike ended up smashed to bits...the lad did a great impersonation of Superman though, until he landed.

Local to me. I was hoping for a better outcome to be honest.

Next time hopefully.

He did get smashed up. Amazing he wasn’t killed by the bollards.

30 or so years ago in central Bristol, I saw a similar accident, with a rider hitting a railing at ~70mph in a 30 zone after stealing a bike. Luckily nobody else was injured, but the thief didn't live very long due to head injuries. I was first on scene, but didn't even bother with first aid - not pleasant to see. I had to give witness statements at the coroners court which was an experience...

Shame the bollard was out the way…

What did he crash into? Was it a speed bump that threw him off?

And in a young offenders, not the big house! As you say, what a joke! He should've at least been stuck in with the big boys.

Indeed, he could easily have killed someone. It's a shame NHS resources were wasted on him after he crashed; I hope he suffered.

Absolute scum. Abusive to the people trying to help them. Animals.

The Police biker was quite incredible.

Ludicrously light sentence and ludicrous short ban.

Shame they survived, they're likely already out offending again and even worse breeding more thieves.

Police biker is everything I want and hope everyone in the police is, what a man! The riding, the coms and then the care for the lad who only seconds before he'd been chasing. More of him please.

If I'm totally honest, I'd have liked him to be slightly less professional when he caught them. biggrin

That's for the courts to deal with and he needs to make sure he gets there but I get what you're saying wink. He did his job like an absolute pro!
