For various reasons, I have brought forward my retirement to the end of this’s month and am now planning the rest of the year.

I fancy a decent bike trip, 2 to 3 weeks.

Anyone gotten any companies they can recommend?

Why not just do it by yourself? There's loads of potential routes available.

Motoquest, Long Beach, Los Angeles. They have places in Oregan and Alaska too.

Honestly, the best bike tour ever (and I've done a few) was the trip we took around the American Southwest last May. Hired bikes from them and did the rest ourselves. Not cheap (America isn't cheap) but just the best thing. Spend the money, you'll not regret it.

A group of us have used https://www.mcitours.com/index.php for many self-guided tours over the last 12 years or so. Usually it works out cheaper or better hotels than we have managed to find and reserve ourselves, and certainly less time\effort in planning.

Meh, everyone should be boycotting America right now, there are other places to go that don't enrich dictators.

The Old Gits are in Provence this September. While we're pretty full already (13 people) I'm happy to look to see if I can add another space. If you were interested, It's only a week but you could then tack on some solo touring before/after that week.

I've had good experiences of White Rose Tours in the past. Rather than one 3 week tour you could do a couple of their 1-2 week trips.
Although White Rose book hotels etc you're encouraged to ride your own routes, although if you can't be bothered with navigation you can ride with the guide which many do.

If you're heading down towards Italy check out Francesco at CIMT (Central Italian Motorcycle Tours), an old work colleague of mine from years back, top chap. Food, wine and fantastic roads being his speciality.

Similar dilemma here to the OP....
I was thinking of one of those semi-offroad tours in Sweden. Anyone here got any pointers?

I highly recommend https://www.bigbiketours.com/ (Thailand)

I’ve done one of the 8 days tours and it was above my expectations. I thought it was very well run. I plan to go again, and I met people on the tour who had done it multiple times.

Good points;

100% tarmac and really good roads, roads are much better than you expect. Smooth and other driver all get out your way.
Great guides and a good pace.
Support vehicles follow with your luggage & bike support.
Good hotel with pool every night, luggage waiting for you in room every evening.
No hassle from cops or military check points. (seems arrangements are made to ride straight through all check points and just wave, same past all police hahaa)

Most routes cover a well known route, the Mae Hong Son Loop.

EDIT* I actually only went on the 5 days tour, https://www.bigbiketours.com/tours/lanna-kingdom/ which was plenty.
