Getting a custom model car built
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm wondering if it's possible to get a small diescast model car custom made.
When I was younger, my dad had a Vauxhall Corsa B, in a very nice deep green. We didn't have a lot of money at the time, and it was the only car he could buy. I remember going up to Scotland in it, and coming back.
Unfortunately, the car didn't survive the journey, and the engine appeared to seize up. As it was (and still is) my favourite car, I have one of the wheel covers (the covers that protect the wheels nuts).
While I like the wheel cover on my wall, I would also love to have a diecast model of the car. My issue is that when I've looked into the models, they don't seem to have the colour that my dad's car had.
This makes me wonder if it's possible to get it custom made, or otherwise repainted? I would love to add a diecast model to my shelf.
I apologise for the rambling, I'm autistic with ADHD, and I love talking about the car.

Thank you,
Nightshade

If there is a die-cast Corsa B model available to buy, then it would be possible to repaint it.
The models are usually rivetted together, and those could be drilled out in order to get the bare outer shell without glass. Some existing paint could be stripped back, and then primed and painted. You can buy aerosol paints matched to Vauxhall colour codes.
If the model was cheap enough, you could have a go yourself.
Edit: list of Corsa B colours and colour codes, may help getting an aerosol of paint ordered.
