brake system fault plus stop

Just got this after i pulled into the parking spot.

I suppose it isn't going away upon restart. Can anyone tell me if its symptomatic of anything serious? I should have always disengage the parking brake.

Same thing happened to me.

disconnected the battery.

and restart the car after 24 hours. Parking brake release worked and re-apply parking brake to check function and it worked.

then stop the engine and disapply parking brake.

I think the parking brake system is innovative but iffy. Best to just use the P in the transmission going forward.

will report if this acts up again
