Speed Camera Van

Camera van on a bridge looking at the A5 out the side window, grey/white camera lens on show!

Rear window / hatch not open. I didn’t see it until the last minute. Can they catch people out the side window and the back at the same time or turn the camera quickly to my direction?

Just trying to see how likely a ticket might be,

No issues if you weren't speeding....How fast were you going?

Not too sure. It seems as if they were aimed at the dual carriage way below rather than the small road I was on but I wasnt sure if they could swivel the camera quickly, can read speed through the plexi glass or if there is only one camera in the van

I wouldn't worry.

They were focusing on the A5 which you weren't on.

That is exactly what I was hoping and thinking!

I assume they only have one camera in the vehicle operated at a time. Plus the window was shut at the back and surely it takes a while to set it up and move it / swivel it?

Depends on what camera system they are using, but they can aim them. Given they can get your speed from more than a mile away if they have line of sight they have quite some time to get a reading even at 100 leptons. I have seen the operator jump up to try and get me.. I was very lucky they didn't (shot past a line of lorries and there it was)
