Hello Everyone

I wanted to know which insurance companies are competetive for this car ? at the moment best quote is around £1500

Also, I am considering looking at a manual 3200 (99 plate with 50K on the clock) at my local specialist dealer. The Ad says complete overhaul and new clutch, is this something I should be weary of ?
Since I've read about problems some ppl have had here..

Cheers

Hi Fred,

Ive had good quotes from Tesco, but went with Privilege as they were the best (under £900) with Tracker and limited miles per year at 8,000 which is more than I would need anyway!

When Buying the Car Make sure you purchase a Decent Warranty as its worth its weight in Gold (See my New thread today about this subject)

And make sure you get an Indi check the Car over otherwise you may be in for a nasty Shock (cost wise!)

Hope this is of Help Fred.

I got my 3200 insured with Tesco for 650 quid - which seems pretty reasonable to me.

Barclays online £1000 protected NCD and legal, unlimited milage. Husband and I are 30yrs old. 4 years NCD. Husband only passed test 2 years ago. ASDA were cheap as well but price went up with milage (I do approx 25000 miles a year). Tesco were more expensive.

www.insurance.easy-quote.co.uk/ found the best deal for me. I did try loads of others but none came close to what they found.

edit We have a 3200GT manual 51 plate, off road parking not garaged. Excess was also the lowest we found (can't remember what). This was in July.

I guess the mileage is done in the warrier and not the Masser.

Nope, the Masser is used for my daily commute, 80 miles round trip. I take a longer route now so I don't use the unclassified roads (bushes scratch the paint!!). I have a deal with the garage I bought it from for warranty, low cost servicing and repairs. They want it back when I'm done in a couple of years. It had relatively low milage to start.

Fred,

Try Stuart Eadon at First Point on 01604 499799 - were recommended to me by Maserati main dealer - they quoted competitive price for my 4200... they only do exotics.. HTH
