Eating out in Bath

We are going to spend a couple of days in Bath just after Easter and were looking for recommendations for eating out. We've got one night at Thornbury Castle but have a couple more days in Bath to explore.

I had a good experience at Chez Dominique close to the Pulteney Bridge a couple of years ago.

Corkage is a fantastic place for a meal, not the cheapest, but excellent food and service.

If steak is your thing, then Hudson is hard to beat.

Have fun, it's a great city. Beefy Boys have just opened a new restaurant there an the burgers are epic (if that's more your thing).

I’ve eaten at a restaurant called Henry’s a few times are would recommend it.

We also had a some small plates for lunch including a raclette dish somewhere in the centre which my other half thought was amazing. I think it was in Beckford Bottle Shop.

The Elder on South Parade was good when I went. A bit over a year ago. It was a party of 25ish but they coped really well which I always think is a good sign

I would start with a bath then bed.

A few choices that I can recommend: Clayton’s Kitchen (bistro, a little pricey); Pinxto as previously mentioned - good value. Went to Beefy Boys last Friday but had had far too many negronis to fully appreciate it 😃.
Crescent restaurant is a classy place but haven’t been for ages. Went to Walcot House a couple of weeks ago which was really good (vintage Dom by the glass) and has a lovely bar downstairs if you fancy a bit of middle aged music with your post dinner drinks. Sotto Sotto is Italian and good but maybe not as good as the trip advisor reviews suggest.
Others I’ve been to which are good are Ponte Vecchio, Dos Dedos for a laugh and some tacos and Herd steakhouse.

If you want bars, head to the Dark Horse (book it). Classy drinks and nice place) or Hideout.

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had at the scallop shell is highly recommended (it’s a seafood place)

We had a few days there last year, ‘Noya’s kitchen’ was the best place we ate. You’d need to book.
