Buying used, any known cost / solve for these issues?
Discussion
Hey I’m looking to buy an a110, I have the choice of 2, 1 has non functioning seat heating after a battery change. The other had non folding drivers wing mirror.
Does anyone know of history on these issues and likely cost to fix? As I want to make sure I don’t cost myself a lot here buying a problem!
Cheers

I have a heated seat issue which I am sure is battery-related - the seat doesn't work if I turn it on as soon as I start the car, but it will work if I keep the revs up or put it on after driving a few minutes. The dealer couldn't find a fault with the seat but they said it was an expensive fix, basically replacing the entire seat cushion.
Having said that I think the seat itself is probably ok and it's more to do with battery/alternator, but everything else is fine.
Like Hal, we just wait for something to fail completely.

Yeah the seller said they aren’t working at all so not sure of specifics! Seems weird it came from a battery replacement Having said that I think the seat itself is probably ok and it's more to do with battery/alternator, but everything else is fine.

Wing mirrors refusing to fold seems to be a common issue. Mine is suffering from it as well; cost is covered by warranty on my (used) A110 so I don't know what the invoice would be otherwise. Alpine suggested swapping out the mirror base only, and reusing the painted cover and mirror glass. Fine by me, so booked the car in, drove over (one hour single trip, and of course they don't work weekends so that's some of my annual leave right there) - only for the dealership to realize that the mirror base itself has a painted section as well which they had omitted to have painted. Mind you, they only noticed once they had already removed my original wing mirror from the car and had the two parts on the workbench together! Oh well. So back I drove, and now I'm awaiting a new appointment.
