I'm absolutely sick of the seemingly endless stream of negativity and bad news we're served 24/7.

So, I've created this thread so we can share and celebrate good news and successes. I hope if I come back in a few days, there will be a collection of positivity to offset the latest cuts/security leak/war/assault/redbull throwing incident.

So, to kick things off, I will finish building my shed at lunchtime today. This makes me happy, because I can move all the gardening junk out of my garage and start building my kit car this summer. It feels like a big milestone as I've been prepping the ground, digging it flat, and so on for months. It floods, so I've had to build drains and all sorts, but we're finally there.

Our local pub has been taken over, money spent on much needed maintenance and now being run properly.

Decent beer, new chef, regular opening hours and people flooding back.

I put a tube of that in someone else's basket at the Canary Wharf Tesco.

Little KitKat, Big KitKat - 2 fingers or 4 fingers?

I have Thursday and Friday off this week.

Glad it worked for you
Following a recipe for Eton mess it said, chop strawberry's, mix with smashed meringue, pile cream on top. Pile cream tastes awful.

Good news? Will never catch on.

Mine is that the side effects from my rather powerful medication are finally subsiding.

To counter this my 7 year old has just taken up the trumpet.

There's much better fishnchips though, but it pays to massively massage the local councillors egos in S Tyneside.

Had the tiniest bit of halibut in the 'temple' last time back in South Shields, they won't be having my custom again

My good news is I've just hit 8,000 miles of use out of my Peugeot 306 that I bought in July, after leaving the company car scheme.

Only slight bump in the road has been a broken coil spring.

If that shed is a Canadian metal one, my daughter has one and there's so much condensation in it at times that it rains from the roof!

Sorry... getmecoat
