Any idea on the best way to collage a load of images seemlessly onto one image? I understand vignetting, but how about the blending of images etc, so there are no joins or edges.

Hope you understand me.
I'll try and find an example on the web.

Like this?

I'd start with one image, then make the canvas much bigger, then copy and past other images into it. Move as required. I think the Erase brush will allow you to get the cross-fade effect.

Best way to do this is through masking. If you want to know how to do that, buy a book* or go to college Only kidding It is a bit too involved to try to explain on here well enough for you to understand. I'm sure a few folk will have a go though

*'Digital Photography Handbook' by Tim Daly covers this in Chapter 8. I'm sure that there are other books that cover this in more depth, but I don't have or know of any.

Yep that's the puppy cheers Simpo & Emma

It's just making it look seemless that I'm having trouble with.

I always have problems with my seams too Masking is better than the eraser. It's a bit tidier and more controlled and will leave less risk of 'holes' in your canvas. It takes a while to master the art I must say. I'm still struggling.

One of the best books that covers easy & advanced techniques is this.

Emma is right. You need to master 'Layer Masks' is PS. Erasing with a feathered brush is fine..... until, 1/2 hour later, or next day, you decide there is a bit you didn't want to erase. Assuming you're using PS, it will explain the basics in the help menu.
