Sorry, cannot help with the detail/experience, but my neighbour 2 doors down from has just taken delivery of his and I think i'd wholeheartedly suggest you'll need to get up close and personal with it, in the flesh at the dealership. They seem really quite large, likely because its so slab sided. Don't get me wrong, that might be just the ticket for what you need, but for me the aesthetics are cumbersome. The rear in particular.
I'd also suggest a test drive. A two ton car is asking a lot from a 1.6L engine with 160bhp. The fastest version (PHEV) does 0 - 60mph in 9.3 Seconds and the slowest version (Hybrid 4WD) is 9.8 Seconds.
That might be fine for family truckster duty but probably worth a test drive to ensure you are happy with the refinement when accelerating hard.

Don’t know where you got the 160bhp from. The smallest engine one is 215bhp.
I’ve driven both it and the 255bhp versions. Plenty of oomph from the Turbo and the electric motor. Wouldn’t say it’s particular fast but it shifts when it needs to, albeit a little revvy.
Just looking for experience of ownership.
It is big, more full sized American SUV, although it doesn’t feel that big when driving it.

The 1.6 Turbo engine in every version of the new Santa Fe has 160bhp according to Hyundai. The electric motor is in addition to that. I’ve driven both it and the 255bhp versions. The Max Hybrid System Power Output of the Hybrid models is 215bhp and the PHEV is 253bhp.
There can't be many full sized SUV's that are slower. Just for comparison a Mid Spec, 7 seat Mazda CX-80 Homura PHEV (On The Road for £52,930) has a system power output of 327bhp and does 0 - 60mph in 6.8 Seconds rather than 9.3 seconds of the PHEV Hyundai.
My recommendation was to test drive it before you buy it to ensure you are happy with the performance and refinment and it sounds like yor are.

As mentioned above, I already HAVE test driven it!0-60 times on the you tube videos reviews I have watched have all recorded a lot faster times than what you mentioned.

The 0-62mph acceleration times I mentioned are the official Hyuandai figures.

I did! My second post.
Official times are never accurate btw. Everybody knows that.
Anyway, just looking for some actual real world reviews from REAL owners of this car. So real owners, would love to hear your reviews. Thank you
You mean your second post on Wednesday April 2nd, the day after my first post on Tuesday April 1st where I politely suggested a test drive. Official times are never accurate btw. Everybody knows that.

Good luck with your search for feedback, I suspect the rudeness you’ve displayed thus far on this thread will put anyone off from replying going forward.

I certainly wasn’t rude nor did I intend to be. But you were trying to answer a question that was not directed to you, then quoting wrong facts and being pedantic. If the question isn’t directed at you and you have nothing helpful to add, jog on. The question was clearly directed at current new model Santa Fe owners!Good luck with your search for feedback, I suspect the rudeness you’ve displayed thus far on this thread will put anyone off from replying going forward.
The rest of the people on here manage to be helpful and polite!

Yeah, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the rear myself after seeing the photos, but it’s definitely grown on me. Looks better in person (imho opinion) and better in some colours than others. It is very slab sided as you say, but the square look for me, makes it stand out in a good way against all the curvy clones of each other, that seem to tipify the current crop of SUV’s.Edited by UK_Scat_Pack on Friday 11th April 22:08
