OP, you can get loads of different SAE adaptors, what is it you want to do?

I've seen them mounted to the outside of vehicles so you can plug in to a tender when the car is parked up.

Both cars have the battery at the rear, and i find it a lot easier having these pemanantly wjred up to the battery with the plug just protrudung from the trim, than unloading stuff if i need to use the charger. esp as i reverse into the garage and space is a premium..

Ensure that the wire from connector to battery is fused, otherwise you'll be in for a bad time if it shorts.

Good suggestion, bizarrely the CTEK comfort connectors aren't (at least not the cheap ones).

If you choose the correct lead of the pair to fit to the battery, ie with the permanently live lead from the battery's positive terminal ending in the shrouded female socket (rather than the exposed male spigot), you will minimise the risk of it shorting.
