Need some inspiration/thoughts you guys please

Hi fellow petrolheads et al.
So after 25 years of working I’ve managed to get myself in a position where I have a saleable business, money in the bank (let’s say £500k all in once biz is sold for arguments sake as I don’t want to disclose too much), and enough equity in my London property to sell it and buy something decent mortgage free in the Home Counties. I’ve come from virtually nothing btw so I’m appreciative I’ve been able to get this far.
Divorced about 5 years ago which obviously set me back but I’ve recovered.
No kids and a girlfriend of not that long who is lovely but has different goals in life to me.
I hate the weather here apart from the longer days in summer and England seems to be going down the pan although the rest of the world doesn’t seem much better.
I’m thinking to myself whilst struggling through another stressful day of work that I could just go mortgage free, sell the biz and take the money in the bank and follow the sun around the world forever. I’m mid forties and have great mates here but I could live with seeing them in the summers. Mum died when I was a kid, dad has a new family and we have a poor relationship and sister lives abroad already.
I travelled when I had the money in my late teens - hostels etc.
What to do with my life? What would you do?

That's not millions in the bank. But live frugally & it could last particularly in Asian cheap to live countries, less so in Australia.
