Sport series active panel repair?
Discussion
Does anyone actually do this or is it like most things Mclaren, throw it away and fit a new one?
I think mine has had a liquid issue at some point as the whole interior is carbon except for this panel which seems odd. The one currently in the car appears to have had something spilled on it but very little residue within the panel and smells like coffee which I am sure is better than coke! Most of the residue is around the front wiring connector, I've cleaned it all with alcohol and the pins and sockets look clean and uncorroded but when I switch on the active button the switches only ocaisionally light up. The active button works and the dash changes it's just the lights and so annoying!

Yeah opened it right up. No sign of any liquid on the PCB's at all as far as I could see. Most residue was on the casing and there wasn't much there either so I'm not 100% on if that is the issue or it's something separate. Odd thing is that they do ocaisionally light but I could see no obvious issues other than liquid had got on the connector. To be fair I have noticed that engine stop/start has never happened in heavy traffic since I've had the car.
