Yeah this, wife had the original 2.2 Evoque, serviced by my local guy for years. He said if she bought an ingenium engined one he would stop talking to us! Just google it and then run a mile.
Think anything’s better. Are any brands off limits?

This, wouldn't touch anything with this engine with a barge pole. As others have stated, the older 2.2 Ford derived unit is much more reliable (but no doubt more agricultural)Just google it and then run a mile.
2013-2015 RR Evoque (with the 2.2 diesel) should be possible with the budget, with around 50-70k. Try to avoid 2WD, manual, and the base "Pure" spec. Personally I'd try find one with a pan roof and light interior too. Its a very trendy, feminine car. Claire off of Vision Prestige has one, but it was a high mileage Ingenium trade in (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THOzkp0SITw)

When we sold our Evoque, a 4x4 specialist bought it off us, he said that he won't touch anything with the Ingenium engine as he loses trust with their customer due to its unreliability and it blows his warranty budget!
We've just bought a 2015 2.2 Discovery Sport, although depends if you need the extra space.
As others have said, make sure it has the pan roof and personally I think it looks so much better on the 20" alloys.

The Juke is quite a small car, can you cope with the same? If so the Ford Puma is surprisingly good, and you should find a 50k miler that's 4 years old at about budget.
If you need bigger, the Kuga is surprisingly good too.

I presume this will be used as a second car, would an EV be suitable? Awful depreciation has put models that were £30k 3 or 4 years ago in your £10k budget, and will all be far more reliable than the Evoque and probably the audi too which has suffered quality wise with VW accountants taking over after dieselgate from around 2019 onwards (models before this will be more reliable).
Also in the same boat, but has to be petrol/manual.
Renault Kadjar 1.3 any good? Also looked at some mitsubishi offerings. Mainly we just want something reliable, her 2014 Mazda 3 had been good as gold only needing routine servicing.
Second child on the way so we just need a bit more room, we live in rural devon, some extra ride height/comfort would be nice.
