x5 air suspension compressor died
Discussion
Hi all,
Looking for some advice please.
Around December 2024 the rear air suspension springs needed replacing and possibly the compressor . BMW confirmed it didn’t need replacing and replaced the rear suspension springs which cost about £800.
A couple of weeks ago a message on the screen came up with “chassis function restricted” . BMW had a look and confirmed the ait suspension compressor needs replacing. Since December we’ve only done about 150 miles so it’s annoying it could fail so quickly . They’ve quoted £1k which is disappointing .
Just got off the phone with GSF car parts a short while ago and I can get this for about £560. The mechanic said he would charge about £100 to fit it.

Is it worth getting this?
Thanks
