I’ve had a slight change of plan, and need to leave LM on Sunday evening. Was thinking of leaving campsite Sunday morning time and parking, but tickets to Expo and Panorama look like hen’s teeth at the moment on resale site.

Does anyone have any experience of the free parking sites (blue) . Now easy are they to get to, and will they have spaces for Sunday ?
Or are there any other viable options ?

Thanks

Last year there was a free parking spot just at the start of the road to Arnage village. The left just after roundabout 100m if so outside of Porsche curves and the tunnel under the track to to most campsites and BSJ. Didn’t look too bad.

Might use it myself as getting out of BSJ on Sunday morning was a nightmare as they were all going home after the wet Saturday

The problems on Sunday had nothing to with it being wet on the Saturday.

It was decision made by the ACO to close the campsite, unfortunately people had already stated to leave as in previous years and park at an alternative location and the entrance became blocked , this could happen this year but let us hope that we are given advanced warning.

For the last few years the local police have been changing the rules each year. It might be worth parking somewhere up beyond the main entrance as an alternative if you can find a space, or alternatively watch the end from outside the track down by say Mulsanne Bend.

One year we had to dash for the ferry. Packed the car Sunday morning and moved it to the car park adjacent the railway station in Le Mans then caught the tram back to the circuit. At the end of the race a dash to the tram. It did actually work well.

The last couple of years I’ve parked in the Blue carpark on the Sunday and did not have any issues getting or out.

get an arrange or mulsanne car park ticket and watch the finish from there, or better still park up in carnage town and watch the end on the TV with a cold beer

slightly off topic (apologies) ... there's a 'civilian' car park opposite Antares tram stop ... anyone happen to know if it's open on the monday after the race?
