I'm looking for a freezer for the kitchen in our new house. It needs to be an under counter model, and I really want one that works like a drawer that you pull out directly, rather than opening a door and then pulling out a drawer.

The only one I can find is this:

But it's 90cm wide, stupidly expensive and has a load of features that I'll be paying for but never use. Is there anything out there that's a more reasonable price - preferably 60cm wide and only ever intended to be used as a freezer.

Sounds like you're looking for a commercial freezer drawer rather than a domestic under-counter freezer because as you've spotted, the domestic market likes "proper" freezers with multiple drawers and a door. You might have some luck searching commercial kitchen suppliers.
I doubt you'd find something with only one drawer though. That would be fairly impractical to use.

Yeah - my explanation wasn't the best.

2 drawers is what I'm after. Pull the door and you get the bottom drawer, then you can access the top drawer and pull that out if you want to. We currently have a Fisher Paykel "French Door" fridge freezer https://www.fisherpaykel.com/uk/cooling/refrigerat... and what we really want is the freezer part as a stand alone appliance, but with the ability to build it in.

SubZero also make pull-out drawer under counter freezer units - they are even more expensive than F&P!

I bought the one I have from a place in Birmingham that sells stuff that's less than perfect. I think I paid £900 and there are a couple of dents that you really can't see. Also - it's a fridge and a freezer, so it's not apples to apples.

Having said that, I'll see if I can find an ex-display freezer, although they don't seem that popular (no idea why).
