I’ve been in the market for a 812 SF for a few months and I’ve finally found one with almost all the options I want.
It’s Ferrari Approved and with main dealer, Graypaul Birmingham.

It is however a car with 4 previous owners (only 7000 miles between them!)
I will, very likely, want to sell it on in 12-18 months and buy something else exciting.

Should I keep looking? Car looks fine.

Previous owners sound like they had the same plan as you. Crack on

DL had a Purosangue up for sale with only 1500 miles done by its first owner. 4 owners in 7000 miles isn't that unusual.

Think late 2018 early 2019 cars were still new enough to be flipped, so possibly 2 of those owners might just be paper pushers and not drivers.

Will Ferrari dealer want to buy a 5 owner car from me though in the future?

For about 20k less than you paid for it, I imagine they will.

That sounds like a normal trade in and often they would bid lower than that on heavy metal as a straight sale.

They’ll bid you but it’ll hurt if you want to go in and out of a V12 in 18 months using a main dealer on both sides. Maybe £40k across the spread and the car being older/more miles/owners?

I was assuming 15% dealer spread to be honest, so about 35k. I’m prepared for that but worry about liquidity - will a 5 owner car be easily sold to main dealer? Because next car will likely be not Ferrari, so I assume I can’t part exch 812 for say Huracan.

Other brands will still bid you but likely only in line with the bid they can get.

If you’re moving from a 6yr old 812 into a Huracan then maybe you’d be looking towards some of the independents anyway?
