Brake pad wear on Audi S1
Discussion
Just got my S1 back from a service, now bear in mind I carried out a full disc and pad change at the same time to refresh them (OEM Audi parts about 1 year ago).
I appear to have worn the front pads by 15% and the rear are worn by 50%. Quite a difference I feel with around 6,000 miles on them since the change.
The car gets driven fairly hard and I generally run it with the traction control set to 'sport' - which I would have thought would reduce the rear brakes being used to stabilize the car as with VAG stuff it seems to use the rears a lot with traction control.
I never use cruise control as that would be another factor, and brakes are not binding at all.
Just wondering if any previous owners could chip in as to whether that sounds normal? I would be replacing pads at a ratio of 2:1 at this rate and at about only 12,000 miles covered for the rears.

Stability control does use the rear brakes a fair bit. Usual S1 problem is rear brake corrosion because they get used so little!
I'd compare the actual measurements with new. S1 rear brakes are tiny and it's perfectly possible they're not as fat as many others even when new. If technician has assumed they had 12mm when new but they didn't...
