Hello,
I'm in the market for an e-gravel bike via cycle to work. I've no clue on cycling at all.
I've a budget of 3k max.
I found this bike: https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/ribble-gravel-al-e-...
Is it any good and are there any others I should consider?
Thanks very much

What's the intended use of the bike and why a gravel bike? If the bike will mostly be used on roads, or commuting to work, you'll be much better off with something else.
Regardless of the type of bike, I would look for a mid-mounted motor rather than a hub mounted one.
Great thanks. I am struggling to find a mid mounted motor within the price range. The reason for Gravel specifically is my commute is down a fair few country muddy/gravelly paths as well as on the road. I also prefer the look of them to mountain & hybrid type bikes. Plus I can put road bike tyres onto it so my logic is with these, its best of all worlds.Regardless of the type of bike, I would look for a mid-mounted motor rather than a hub mounted one.
I have one of these https://www.cairncycles.com/collections/e-adventur... its decent for when I was starting but rarely use it these days as dont need the assistance most of the time. The Fazua Motor had to be replaced under warranty so be aware of that but this company is run by the Rider Firm who also run Hunt Wheels ad their customer service has been fantastic.

If you have never ridden that type of bike before I would strongly recommend a decent test ride before spending any money. Looking cool is one thing, but being crippled by bike geometry is a real thing. I personally love the looks of a gravel bike but I know that they would cripple me.Unfortunately, gravel e-bikes are still quite niche in the e-bike world. There isn't a huge amount of choice and they tend to be quite pricey.
You'll also want to factor in panniers or some sort of luggage. When commuting you want the weight on the bike, not on your back.
How about this:

I think the main issue with a lot of the e-gravel bikes is that they have a fairly racey riding position, which is great for long efficient gravel rides but perhaps not the best for comfortable commuting. A pal who stocks Genesis bikes had one of these in for a customer...

...and I saw a Whye e-bike a few weeks ago outside a local cafe which I think was this one....

Both would make for good commuting bikes I reckon.
