Ben Habib has just become the owner of the Integrity party. Not seen a constitution yet but I am sure you will have full voting rights if you 'donate'
No sign of it on the Electoral register either.

I am sure these are in the pipeline as we all know Ben's views on these matters.

Pretty dumb name - every single whiff of anything slightly dodgy will be continuously trawled through and highlighted!

Interesting - it's normally the left that splits into factions, but it seems that now it's the turn of the right, with the Conservatives, Reform, UKIP and Integrity all competing in the same space.

Integrity seem to be claiming some USPs:
  • They will be to the right of Reform (Ben Habib said this in an interview; I believe he said that it is not difficult to be to the right of Reform, which was an interesting comment)
  • Party is controlled by its members not by one individual
  • Policy that is thought through rather than just soundbites
So my feeling is that they are trying to be the version of Reform that Reform was meant to be. And they are targeting Reform supporters who got disillusioned with the direction of Reform and the tight control from Farage. I would fully expect them to take a much harder line on immigration compared to Reform, for example.

I would expect that Rupert Lowe would join them for sure. And presumably that would give them 1 MP.

The Manifesto section of the website is currently almost empty, but I guess there will be more to come.

I agree the name is terrible, and I don't think they will last, but then I thought the same about Reform.

"Integrity Party" - no-one will vote for that, it's too many syllables.

It isn't as crowded as you think.

UKIP do not "compete" in elections in any meaningful way and in 2024 stood in about as many seats as the Monster Raving Loony Party and got a similar number of votes, coming 28th nationally (if I counted correctly).

Integrity won't last because Ben Habib is a nobody and he won't be able to get the attention that Farage gets, even if Rupert Lowe does defect to them. The people who literally want to drown illegal immigrants and also have a Thatcherite economic outlook are each a very small sector of the electorate but they can get at least some of what they want from a bigger party.

Reform are abandoning the Thatcherite area of economics and moving to their core voters in red wall type seats to attack Labour more than the Conservatives, which Farage said on election night but nobody seemed to pay attention.

Interesting AI imagery for the background, lots of random junk on the map, and the Isle of Man is represented by a square-shaped Union Flag.

Another image is of a man painting a strange landscape mashup, with what seems to be the back of Boris or Fabricant's head in the bottom left:

I think its a load of ste, but isn't fundraising what every political party does? The Labour Party website has a 'donate button' pop-up as soon as you load the website. Does gifting only apply to the parties we dislike?
