Beginning to think car is cursed!
Discussion
Has anyone ever sold a car as they think it is cursed? I obviously am saying that tongue in cheek, however i am seriously considering selling it.
Not the cars fault, just circumstance, (and HS2
)
I wanted a BMW 335D Touring x-drive for ages and found the perfect one, even down to the trim and in mint condition, we collected it in September, but it's been of the road most of that time!
Firstly I had a split alloy. The way I travel to work each day means whichever route I choose, and they are all cross country, i go through at least one village being ripped up by HS2. I know the roads are all full of potholes from the trucks and generally know where they all are, and can miss them, most are the size of a wheel anyway, but I hit one and it made a massive bang, but car seemed ok. Few days later, tyre was flat, after getting it checked out, wheel had split
After talking to people we decided not to get it repaired as they may not be as strong, and then thought i may use that as an opportunity to go from 20" wheels to 19" for a maybe comfier ride. Few weeks off the road while they were ordered, new tyres and TPS's etc.
During this time I reverted back to our old car and shoved temp insurance on it costing a fair few quid at a time.
Back on the road a month, behind a HS2 lorry, always wary as they fook their empty cans and bottles out of their cabs, but no, a brick / stone flicked up from the rear tyres, straight into the windscreen, making me flinch, pulled over quickly to assess, didnt look too bad and thought i'll sort the insurance when i get home. I have 3 separate insurance policies, for 30 years and never once have i checked windscreen cover, they have all just had it. This one didnt! Long story but nearly a grand later, and waiting on delivery of screen from BMW now. Decided to take the old car off temp cover as so expensive, and insured as a new policy with no no claims for a year, cheaper!
Pulled up yesterday (in old car!) after the winds, and you know when something isn't right? whats on my bonnet? Roofing felt blown from somewhere, took a look, scratched all my wing, bonnet, bumper and door mirror!
The garden is massive, we are next to a field, there are 5 other cars on the driveway, that it never touched, there are various areas to the garden it could have blown too, and got caught up, it could even have blown across the field instead, but no, just damaged my car sat there waiting for a new screen!
Checked where it had come from, the nearest neighbour i spotted his shed roof flapping in the wind.
