Just press the "Back" button, as indicated by the symbol in the lower yellow line.

It won't clear the fault, but will give you back the MFD display.

That fault indicates a Power Steering Failure. So either it is a random code it's thrown, or you have a steering fault.

Try >engine off, restart, hold 2000 rpm whilst stationary and work the steering a couple of times fully left and right, all the way to the stops. Engine off. Re start and see if the fault persists.

If it's a 981 there can be issues with the steering rack failing - water ingress into the electrics that requires a complete new rack. Warranty will sort it, if not you're looking at c£2k. If it's still operating with the usual assistance then it could be a glitch.

Many thanks for the responses - the car is 2015 model by the way. I took it for a run and couldnt find any issues but it had been parked for a while and the battery charger not connected so it was flat - could this have caused the issue?

Low battery can throw up just about any error code, so it's a distinct possibility.

If the power steering had failed you'd notice it at low speeds for sure.

Put the battery on a tender and leave for 24 hours then see if the error comes back. If it does you may need to clear it using a diagnostic tool.

As mentioned, a flat battery will through loads of errors that can go away once the car is driven for a bit.
