Years ago I figured a way to carry a 26er in the car. One wheel in boot (or both) in a mk2.5 mx5.

Anyone with any mx5 managed to carry a emtb?

I did get my road bike in my mk1…. 700c wheels are similar to a 29’er aren’t they?Admittedly the roof was down, and I’d never want to do it again wink

Would love to see photos if folk did get an eMTB in!

Weirdly I saw a lovely MK1 parked up today while walking the dogs. It had a bike rack that looked a bit like this one I just found on a Google search and a full suspension MTB on the back, not sure what weight limit this one can carry though, it says 2 bikes @ 16kg per bike, how heavy is an EMTB? 25kg ISH at a guess

That's a Saris Bones rack widely available. I've just sold one in very new condition for £50. I had it as back up for cars without tow bars. Bit fiddly to setup but good rack
