Hi, its been 9 years since my last visit and i was wondering what the beer prices were like in the circuit last year and also what is the norm for French vendors in terms of payment, do they want cash or are cards preferred?

I know most people only want cards now but thought it would be best to check.

Thanks.

We paid by card and drinks were around 6 Euros ago. I did not see them taking cash.

Ouch. Big events always had "pickpockets". Looks like they've gone hi-tech. My main credit card has just been attacked, and reissued, but I keep a France only credit card.

Talking about thieves, I thought on the circuit it was 8€ plus 1€ for the plastic cup, and having been to London recently, £6 a pint is a cheap deal, and they want £12 for a g&t

Yep, 9 bucks with the cup, may have been 10 in a couple of locations. It hasn’t been 6 for a decade or more!

My price was in the members area, which is discounted, looking back, last year I paid 8 in the village, I do take my own cups as we have loads from previous races. I also got a full refund of the fraud transactions this morning from Visa.

I’m sure it will be a round €10 this year in the main area, and mildly cheaper further afield. There does come a point when pure meanness kicks in!
