Hello all.

Does anyone have a recommendation for someone to set up set up the front steering alignment/suspension?

I did give the settings to a local 4-wheel alignment place but they weren't too confident about taking it on.

I'm based in Gwent and ideally would like to find somewhere local but am happy to travel to find someone with experience of our cars.

Thanks,

Steve

Amore have an in house mechanic, experienced with TVR's. Depending where you are in Gwent might not be too far away?

It's a bit of a drive from you but I took mine to Centre Gravity in Atherstone last year.

Well worth it if you want the setup going through properly. Everything that could be measured, adjusted and tweaked was.

Do you know what settings you're aiming for? Measuring and adjusting the settings is straight forward - it's the knowledge and understanding needed to specify the best settings which are hard to come by.

Over the last couple of years I've renewed all the front bushes, had the steering rack out and overhauled and replaced the steering UJ's.

If I take my hands off the wheel on a level road i.e. the local Tesco carpark, the steering wheel rotates anti-clockwise a bit and the car drifts to the left. There's no brake binding and all tyres are at the correct pressure.

The tracking is spot on but I figure that somewhere along the line I've disturbed something and want someone with experience of our setup to get the self-centering sorted and realign the steering wheel to horizontal.

The rear isn't 'adjustable'. It maybe / can be shimmed - depending on model and trailing arms fitted. I apprciate you're not local, but Mat Smith [Sprtscars] has a sweet spot for the S. Worth dropping him a contact for pointers for your choosen 'aligner'.

Thanks for the tip - I've taken the plunge and arranged to visit Matt Smith and make a weekend of it in Norfolk
