Leshuttle have updated their T&Cs as of 5th March https://www.leshuttle.com/uk-en/legal-information/...

The changes mean turning up less than an hour before the departure time or later will void the ticket (and the return if it’s the outbound).

This doesn’t impact the flexiplus ticket but does impact all the other tickets.

I don’t know how lenient they will be around the Le Mans weekend as the queue can be significant.

That's only for overnight and day trip tickets.

Just had a Quick Look at the T&C’s. Standard ticket, you should check-in between 1 & 4 hours prior to your departure time. There is a flexibility period from 1 hour before to 1 hour after your departure where they will try to get you on the next available crossing. If you check-in more than 1 hour after your departure time your ticket will be void.

As far as I recall, check-in was always at least 1 hour before departure.

Doesn’t seem unreasonable smile

Bummer, we've ended up on 1st tickets, Beauséjour with seats in the dunlop stand. with a tunnel crossing booked for 9:50.

I think we'll be pushing that back an hour.

As above, it's only for day trip or overnight tickets, so isn't going to affect many if any going to Le Mans, and even then is surely only for tickets booked after the T&C change?

I've just spoken to leshuttle (after amending my ticket).
If you booked before the T&C change then you are on the old ones so your ticket is valid for 24hrs after the booking, ie you'll be fine.

If you get there up to 2 hours early they will put you on the next train if there is space FOC.

True but the 2 hour grace period is gone. The terms on the other tickets have changed as well. They are clear it’s void which I don’t think that was the case before if you were late.

I think there are two threads running on this I just posted on the other one .
I do recall arriving at the que at this end last September and not reaching the check in for about 40 mins . This changes the 1 hour rule significantly.

If they start cancelling tickets when the check in system is delayed by issues with the running of the tunnel they're going to end up with a lot of very pissed off customers, I've waited on the road from the motorway to the check ins for a couple of hours once, presumably they're not going to do that.
I see in the T&Cs that you can claim if delayed by service issues, not sure if that's new or not, they've certainly not been forthcoming with that information when I've been held up. It doesn't say you'll get anything though, just that you can try!

I know the tunnel is a lot quicker, but ferries have always seemed like a way better deal. Half the price and far more flexible with travelling.

Combined with all the changes LeShuttle have made and the eye watering prices I don’t really know why it’s still used quite so much!
