Hi all, I've found more time now the evenings are longer and bank holiday season is in full swing so thought I'd look into the jobs i was on here moaning about before Christmas, i finally got under the car and found the source of the leak, is this an easy fix or send away job? i do recall someone mentioning that if it leak In a certain place than it can be done at home so to speak, the fluid seems to be flooding out where the steering column goes in.. thanks

Looks like someone else had a similar issue, and fixed it quite readily:

You might need to join the FB group to see it.

I read some instructions before as to how to remove it, but I did notice what appears to be an I guess a half inch hose that appears to be crimped on, do you know what I mean? the sort of crimping that you see on hydraulic hoses and the only way to get them off is to cut them, or am i mistaken, also the issue I have is knowing what the bits are called that i would need to order, 'doobery whats it' or 'thingy' won't cut when ordering anything lol

Actually, you can just see right at the top of the pic in the middle, the one I'm talking about

I've replaced these hoses, it'll just be bolted on with a banjo bolt. I can't remember where the best access to it is from though.

You can see it on the very last image from here https://chimrebuild.wordpress.com/6-engine-bayasso...

Pinion oil seal can be done with rack in situ done a few of these now , rather than picking out the seal and possibly damaging/scratching the pinion shaft seal face I remove three cap headed screws/bolts and remove the spool itself and work on the bench , seal as dimensions on it
