Window Tints

How easy are aftermarket window tints to remove? I'm looking to remove the aftermarket tints on my MK4 Golf R32 to give it more of an original look.

Just attack with a heat gun and slowly pick off? Is the glue then a PITA to remove?

yeah warm it up or wait till a sunny day and it peels off , nail varnish remover for the glue

only issue is it may take off the heated rear window strips with it

It should just peel in one sheet if your lucky.
Heat is key.

It's not that easy !
My focus came with front tints, I thought a bit of heat and they would come away .. I was very wrong.
On one side the film came off in 1 piece but all the glue behind. On the other side it came off in about 400 small pieces but most of the glue came off.

Heat, time, patience and Gtechniq glue remover is what finally worked for me
