How do I convert Odometer from Kilometers to Miles + 1 more
Discussion
Hi everyone,
First time post from a first time Aston Martin V8 Vantage (2007) owner. I recently purchased this car and couldn't be happier with the overall value and performance. The car was originally imported to the U.S. and sold by Aston Martin of Beverly Hills. One of the previous owners purchased the car in the states and then relocated the vehicle to Canada. During the transition, the odometer was converted to kilometer readout and programmed the Low Beam (Dipped Beam) to be on all the time while driving. The vehicle is now back in the U.S. and have the following questions;
1.) How do I convert the odometer readout back to Miles? Now, this is the Odometer, not the Speedometer. The digital display already has been reprogrammed through the console control panel to readout MPH from KPH.
2.) How do I convert the headlights to be manually turned on versus automatically that has been programmed into the ECU required by Canadian Law?
Thanks to Pistonheads and the subscribers in allowing this post.

You can maybe achieve the first by:First time post from a first time Aston Martin V8 Vantage (2007) owner. 1) Ignition switch at position II.
2) Then press the Read button (next to the T1 / T2 button) and the button on the end of the left stalk together, and hold for 3 seconds

Thanks for your reply. From what I gathered from Pistonheads and 6SpeedonLine followers, the task of reprogramming the car's odometer and headlight settings will have to be done at an AM Dealership that has the AMDS Diagnostic tool. Basically, all I attempting to do is changing the country settings from Canada to the United States. I contacted the closest dealership (Chicago area) to me (I'm in Northern Wisconsin) and spoke to one of the service managers. He had no idea what I was talking about so.........this is going to take a while.1) Ignition switch at position II.

If there is anyone in the Midwest of the U.S., reach out maybe something can be worked out.
