Idly looking on AutoTrader...

Silver: 19
Black: 15
Grey: 2
Blue: 1

= 2.6% colour. Is this the model most affected by monochromitis?

Approx the same percentage of red Ferraris then.

Although interestingly this percentage was a whopping 85 in the early 1990s.

My perception is that the monochromes (about two thirds black judging by the used 'Pre-owned' lists at the time), were popular and considered well suited for Aston Martins from about the year 2000, perhaps earlier, to the middle of the VH era. After that, we did then see more brighter colours being specified.

Countries' historic racing colours have been an influence, British Green; German Silver; French Blue; Italian Red.
Lamborghinis have a colourful trend amongst their owners.
Car launch colours tend to be bright, which used to be to make them stand out on the covers of car magazines.
VH Vantage Yellow (not the earlier Concept); M-B Vantage Lime Green.

When you next idly look through Autotrader John, try setting the filters to; Electric cars / Mileage maximum 100 / Sort oldest first.
Where are they all being kept?
Then try that again for electric vans. Could you be tempted by a Renault Master, a generous size van, list £65,000, condition brand new, mileage 30 miles, now hoping for £13,750 + VAT ? !!!
A few trade secrets are revealed, especially if you activate the (free) AT Price Tracker.
If you wish, take note of the dates of first registration, which often are the last day of months. Expect you know why.

EDIT
For some unknown reason, the DVLA record Silver for several other colours, including Grey.

The HowManyAreLeft website states that there are just 31 Morris Mini Coopers left in the UK with an MoT.

Interesting, because you can sometimes see hundreds at Mini enthusiast gatherings.

The point overlooked by the website being, MoTs are not required for Historic class vehicles (over 40 years old).

My white Rapide was the only non silver/black car for sale when i was looking, and the deciding factor to purchase over lower mileage examples.

That list makes it 1 of only 23, i believe there were two different whites available as well.

With the screens, perforated leather, white/silver stitching, (lux i think) its probably pretty rare!

I was really surprised at how few were painted white, because when I was looking there were 2 up and a 3rd rapide S. While i'm not a fan of white cars generally. The Rapide S was in a pearlescent white with a remarkable interior. I bet you're happy at the rarity of your white rapide now!
I was lucky and got mine in a shade of green which only 4 in that colour were painted world wide, only 2 in the UK.

Mine is a pearle, i thought originally there was frost white and strattos white, however against the data file for my car its listed as 'snow white'.

That's a wrapped one, the rear quarter gives it away. But still more interesting IMHO.

This one off AMR Rapide in Aston Heritage Racing Green is one of my all time favourite Rapides...

It's a Swiss registered car but was up for sale in the UK a couple of years ago if I recall correctly.

2nd favourite colourful Rapide is this AMR Rapide from New Zealand.

I had to have a colour. This blue with a light interior for me is a classic combo.

Indeed, which being further down I saw as a handy confirmation after I'd deduced the wrap smile

Took me 6 months to track down a burgundy example (technically Divine Red) but with a tan interior was too much to ask, though ending up with obsidian/chancellor stitch is probably more practical, so no complaints. Now I see why, so thanks for that!

Wow. Great website find.

It seems blue was the most popular colour for the DB7.
