Is there any benefits to having wheel spacers on the rear of a mk 1 tuscan.

From the day of being allowed to advertise cigars on TV:

Spacers would only be required if you're using wheels that do not have the original offset, enabling even wider (?) tyres and prevent fouling. Or you want the wheels to stick out further. Spacers beyond 5mm thickness would need longer wheel bolts.

Offset, called ET (Einpresstiefe) is a lower number if the centreline of the wheel is further out.

On the rear, only for wheel fitment optimization and/or aesthetics.

On the front they can alter the steering geometry, namely the scrub radius, which has an effect on handling and steering feel.
