So, I used to run a business, I closed it 15 months ago,had my Google business profile removed etc.I've kept the same mobile number for my personal use.
I just gave someone my number by phoning them and it came up on their phone as my old business name.
How can I get that removed ?

According to ChatGPT if you save your own number in your contacts and give the contact a name, that name, rather than your number, will show up on someone else's phone when you call them. Same for Apple and Android.

First port of call then; is your number saved in your contacts with your old business name as the name of the contact?

Not so far as I can see.
Also, I never had a business contract with the number,it was always a personal one.

Is it possible that the person you gave your number to by phoning them already had it saved in their contacts under your business name? Have you tried phoning someone else to see if it happens on other phones?

A lot of phones now like samsungs connect to an online database and pull up crowdsourced caller id info for numbers that would otherwise show up as unknown caller.
I dont know who you would contact to resolve incorrect data though

If you were using the same number for your business as you're now using personally there could be a CNAM record that needs updating...

When a phone transmits a name instead of a number on Caller ID, it's usually because the caller ID service is displaying the associated name from a Caller Name (CNAM) database, rather than the actual phone number. This name is linked to the phone number through a service like CNAM, and carriers can choose to subscribe to this service for their customers.

Updating CNAM Records:
If the displayed name is incorrect, or doesn't match your expected caller ID, you may need to contact your service provider to update the CNAM record associated with your phone number.

It would seem it's the recepients network that uses a database.....and there's no central database......to associate the business name with the number,so it's something I can't control from my end or my network, unfortunately.
They probably all scraped Google initially and although that's been changed, I think, the other databases probably haven't
