Couldn't get out of my drive to take the Facel to the pub at lunchtime because this convoy came past: Morris Minor, MGB GT, Mustang, Healey Sprite, Sunbeam Rapier, MGB plus others. Wonderful! Well done all of you!

Just a '65 Mustang Convertible, Volvo P1800, Austin 10, Triumph TR6 and one other I've forgotten.

I couldn't find any Drive-It-Day events locally so perhaps that was the reason, not that we could have taken part as our Riley is off the road awaiting parts. irked

A couple of Marcoses.

A small convoy of Triumphs including a Vitesse a Stag and a TR6.

A Jaguar XK140 (may have been a 120).

Austin Healey Sprite.

And the highlight a C type Jaguar, not doubt a replica but a rare sight all the same.

I saw lots about yesterday on my way to Weedon Beck. Some nice raraties, including an early single rear window corvette, and an Alfa Zagato.
They were still pouring in when I left at midday.

We were in the Peak District at Hulme End. In the café car park there was 3x Mini classics (one of the final 500 and 2 late 60’s/early 70’s cars - all very nice!) a TR6, an Austin Healey and a Karmann Ghia. Also a very nice AJS motorcycle. Great to see so many nice vehicles out and about.

Saw two sixties Mustangs, a black fastback and a red convertible with wire wheels, and an orange original Camaro.

I was out in my Bentley Mk 6, and saw a lot of pre-war classics out in a run - MG, Morris, Riley - looked wonderful. Also saw a MkIII Cortina (coke bottle) and a Corsair.

I think the weather brought a lot more cars out than usual. Just a shame I was driving and Mrs K is hopeless with a camera, so didn't get any pictures frown

I managed to make it to three local classic meetings on Sunday morning, ending at Brooklands Museum. smile

This meant I saw way too many to mention here, incuding those driving between the venues. It was the perfect day for it, and good to see so many out.

Special mention to the Hogs Back Beer Machine which has just been resurrected after more than ten years of inactivity. A custom build with air suspension on all three corners, the rider confirmed it didn't go round corners very well and neither did it like keeping in a straight line. hehe
