Question re front lights.

I'm starting the rebuild of our early s2 Lotus Seven, and rather than use the standard chrome 7" front lights, I would like to use some of the smaller 5 3/4" chrome lights, or aluminium bodied lights if available.

Two questions;

Anybody recommend some sensibly priced versions?

To keep the car looking "in period", I don't really want to go the obvious looking LED route. What bulbs can be used to upgrade the lights to give improved lighting?

Each to their own, but one of the things I prefer in S2 & 3 Lotus Sevens, and early-ish Caterhams, is the larger size and the mounting position of the 7" headlight. To me it gives the car more of an appealing face. I bet you will get let out more in traffic if you stick with the 7" rather than dropping down to the 5.75" ;-)

WIPAC seem to do a 5.75" headlight with the old skool look that you are after.

Of course Caterham do one too for the basic lighting set up on the current range. I have no idea re pricing.
