Can I just offer a recommendation.

The Assembly on ITV, celebrities get asked personal and sometimes awkward questions by interviewees with autism, other forms of neurodivergence and learning disabilities.

It's 25-30 mins only - well worth a watch, use catchup if you haven't seen it. Proper feel good TV

Danny Dyer was open, honest, inclusive. David Tennent was again open, both were deeply moved.

They always finish with a song. Tennents was Sunshine on Leith and he got very emotional

Danny Dyers was moving on up now by Primal Scream

First episode of this was on BBC a good while ago, might still be available on i player. It was Michael Sheen and it was brilliant.

Dyer went up in my estimation as well.

Mr Fry seemed quite nervous! Not that I blame him.

I enjoyed it though. He had to answer some stuff on fairly serious topics such as the one about being Jewish and atheist. It must be hard for them to stick to things that all of the audience will connect with as there is such diversity. I guess that's the point of diversity though. smile

It was funny when he kept getting asked about drugs and Buckingham Palace.

Quick name drop. I met him once (we were both working on the same thing) and he was reading The Telegraph. I mentioned that I didn't have him down as a Telegraph reader and he replied "It's always good to know what the enemy is thinking". smile

The series is my favourite thing on TV at the moment.

The point where one of the "assembly" interjects with the word "affair" when she is talking of Alex Salmond was the funniest thing I've seen on TV in ages.

The comment about her hair and Mrs Doubtfire was good fun too.

But seeing the nervous guy speak up and ask her about her miscarriage and then her tearful reply was moving. And before that the young fella that made such an effort to read out his poem about foster care. It was really brave and I thought it was a terrific episode.

The Lenny Henry episode had a couple of questions in it that seemed a bit set-up but then had a great song at the end where audience members contributed. That's the point of the show, I think - to give people the opportunity to speak up who wouldn't normally do that.
